The Macallan Rare Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky is drawn from sherry-seasoned European and American oak the whisky makers pull for one mark: an intense sweet-raisin note that only a sliver of the warehouse ever shows, a high share of them first-fill. Those casks stain the malt a natural ruby mahogany and lay vanilla and dark chocolate beside the fruit. Bottled at 86 proof, with limited bottles each year.
