Tomatin 18 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is an 18-year Highland single malt from Tomatin Distillery in the Scottish Highlands, founded in 1897 above Inverness: long fermentations and tall, slim copper stills make a fruity, unpeated spirit, then traditional oak and a final stretch in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts add dried fruit and nuts. Bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV). It is an after-dinner dram.
Dried apricot, nougat, and toasted nuts lead, then tropical fruit and raisin fill a rich, full-bodied sip. Honey, dark chocolate, and warm spice stand out on the palate; the finish is long and warming.
