WhistlePig PiggyBank 10 Year Old Straight Rye Whiskey is a limited 10-year rye in a 1 liter wax-sealed pig decanter, so the extra volume and 110 proof (55% ABV) give the bottle real presence. A decade in oak is why cinnamon, vanilla, and cedar read mature while black pepper stays bright. Hand bottled at the Shoreham farm. Pour it on a cold night.
Toasted cinnamon, baked vanilla, and cedar lead, then black pepper, nutmeg, lemon zest, and leather stand out on the palate. The mouthfeel is firm at this strength. A medium finish leaves light tannin, mint, and rye spice.
