WhistlePig The Boss Hog IX Siren’s Song Straight Rye Whiskey is the 2022 limited single-barrel rye, twice finished in casks seasoned with Greek fig nectar and farm-made Tentura, a Patras-style liqueur of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, orange peel, and honey. Those woods are why jammy fig and baking spice arrive together. Bottled at cask strength, 103.4 proof (51.7% ABV), under one of nine pewter Muse toppers. Pour it when the night is meant to last.
Orange blossom, dried fruit, and brown sugar open, then cinnamon, clove, and black cherry stand out on the palate with fig jam and rye spice. The finish is long and warm, with cardamom, raisin, and prune.
