Willett Family Estate 11 Year Old Rubenesque Single Barrel Whiskey is a named private barrel from Willett’s Family Estate program in Bardstown, Kentucky: one cask of eleven-year bourbon, bottled uncut and unfiltered at barrel proof. Eleven years in new charred American oak is what gives the sip its dark-fruit weight and baking-spice heat, with the barrel’s own char carrying caramel and leather. This pour exists as this cask only. Open it when company stays late.
At this age and wood, caramel and dried cherry lead, with cinnamon and vanilla standing out on the palate. Leather and toasted oak fill a full, oily sip. The finish runs long and warm, with spice hanging after the sweetness recedes.
