Yellowstone 2024 Limited Edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is Master Distiller Stephen Beam’s extra-aged annual from Limestone Branch Distillery: 7-year and 17-year Kentucky bourbons blended first, then given his first double finish in French brandy and Cognac casks, bottled at 101 proof (50.5% ABV). The two grape-spirit woods pull pear, apple, honey, and leather through the extra-matured bourbon. Allocation was 10,000 three-bottle cases. Share it when friends stay late.
Pear, ripe apple, and basswood honey lead, with apricot, caramel, and vanilla behind them. Butterscotch and leather stand out on the palate; the texture is thick and soft, and the finish closes on Bosc pear, honey, and a thread of baking spice.
