Buckner’s 10 Year Old Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is one cask from Augusta Distillery’s ongoing Buckner’s lineup, the youngest of the aged single barrels the Augusta, Kentucky house bottles. The whiskey was distilled at an undisclosed Kentucky distillery, aged 10 years in new charred American oak, and bottled unfiltered at cask strength. It is a standing single-barrel expression in that lineup, and the proof changes from barrel to barrel.
Honeyed vanilla and caramel run through cinnamon, brown sugar, and oak. Barrels move a little, and the finish that keeps showing up is caramel, baking spice, and dry wood, with a touch of cream underneath.
