Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr. Warehouse C Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr. Warehouse C Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a one-time 2021 bottling from Buffalo Trace, aged 10 years in the warehouse Colonel Taylor built in 1885 and called the last piece of his model distillery. The barrels sat in the dry, tight ricks of the second floor and the sunlit fifth floor, where airflow and heat pull cherry and oak from Mash Bill #1 that a typical bonded Taylor does not show. It is a limited, warehouse-specific bourbon, bottled in bond at 100 proof.
Cherry cobbler and cherry cola lead, with vanilla bean and toasted oak filling the middle. Spearmint and coffee keep the sip from going sticky, and raisin bread rides a long finish. The texture stays ample at 100 proof without flattening those contrasts.
