Garrison Brothers Cowboy Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the annual uncut, unfiltered cask-strength from Dan Garrison and Donnis Todd's favorite barrels, set aside extra years and aged at least six. The current official bottling is 141 proof. Texas steel-barn heat concentrates the wheated sweet mash so the sweetness is supposed to outrun the proof; they bottle it as it comes off the wood, no water, no chill filtration. Limited each year (the 2026 edition was 16,000 bottles). Great for a cold night and a slow pour.
Toasted marshmallow, molasses, and worn leather open a thick, coating palate of plum in dark chocolate. Cinnamon, cracked peppercorn, and campfire smoke ride the uncut whiskey; it drinks hot and sweet rather than thin, with vanilla and toasted oak holding the heat.
