This extra añejo tequila stands apart through a two-part cask treatment. American oak maturation is followed by a finish in French Limousin casks that previously held Bordeaux wine, bringing both American and French oak into one expression. Gran Centenario Gallardo is made from Blue Weber agave in Jalisco and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV). Its availability is limited, and it comes in a 750 mL bottle.
Cooked agave anchors the palate, with vanilla giving it a rounded sweetness. Fig brings darker fruit depth, while toasted nuts add a dry, savory close. The progression moves from a rich opening to a firmer finish, making the profile easy to follow in a slow, neat pour.
