At least 1 year in American and French oak, followed by a Bordeaux wine cask finish, defines the maturation of Gran Patrón Burdeos Añejo Tequila. Both oak types are part of the initial maturation, with the wine cask reserved for the finish. It is made in Jalisco from Blue Weber agave and is additive free.
Raisin and vanilla give the palate a dark, mellow sweetness, with caramel adding rounded richness as it gradually opens. Oak and Bordeaux wine notes then lend a vinous accent to the finish.
At 80 proof (40% ABV), its weight is well suited to a neat pour. The añejo is offered in a 750 mL bottle.
