Milam & Greene Unabridged Bourbon Whiskey

Milam & Greene Unabridged Bourbon Whiskey is the annual Blender's Reserve volume: Kentucky, Tennessee, and Texas straight bourbons married in Blanco heat — Texification — then bottled unfiltered at cask strength. Their malted-rye mash, run on copper in Texas and on column stills in Kentucky, is folded in so the blend drinks creamy and spicy at once. Named for Heather Greene's whiskey book, each volume is a limited run. Pour it when you are sipping with friends.

Dark cherry, brown sugar, and cinnamon stand out on the palate, with leather and tobacco giving the sweetness a savory floor. Stone fruit and raisin keep arriving as it sits. The mouthfeel is oily and full; the finish stays warm, a little minty, and long.
