Mister Sam Tribute Whiskey 2023 Release is Drew Mayville's third batch of the Bronfman tribute: Sazerac American and Canadian whiskey, blended and bottled at the Old Montreal Distillery in Quebec. About 1,200 bottles at 128.8 proof, with a rye-leaning, baked-fruit mix. Give it a large cube.
Cherry pie, cocoa, and rye spice lead a thick, syrupy sip, with leather, tobacco, and seasoned wood in the middle. Dark fruit, raspberry, and a cool mint-chocolate close hang on a long finish that drinks calmer than the proof reads.
