Suerte King’s Crown 7 Year Old Extra Añejo Tequila
Extra añejo is the longest-aged class of tequila, and this one spent five years in American oak before bottling. That kind of time softens the spirit and pulls it toward the sweeter, darker end of the category. It comes from the Jalisco Highlands, made with Blue Weber agave and bottled additive free.
Cooked agave is still clearly there underneath everything, which is the point — the oak has not buried it. Caramel and vanilla sit on top, rounded and easy, with dried fruit adding a little depth behind them. Cinnamon and toasted oak carry the close, warm rather than sharp.
At 80 proof (40% ABV) it drinks gently, which makes it a straightforward sipper rather than something you need to work at. Serve it neat in a small pour at room temperature. The 750 mL bottle is the standard size for a shelf you actually reach for.
