Orange zest leads, bright against a thick base of vanilla and caramel. Ginger and nutmeg warm the back end, giving the whisky a dry, spiced edge that keeps the sweetness in check. At 105.8 proof (52.9% ABV) it has real weight in the mouth, and polished oak lingers once the fruit fades.
This is a straightforward, generous dram rather than a fussy one. It takes a splash well if the strength feels like a lot, and it holds up just as happily on its own. Comes in a 750 mL bottle.
