This is an agave-forward añejo with an oak-accented character. Made from Blue Weber agave in Los Valles, Jalisco, Atanasio rests for 13 months in ex-bourbon American white oak. It is additive free, with cooked agave and caramel forming the core of the profile.
Vanilla sits beside dried fruit, while cinnamon and toasted oak give the sip a spiced, woody close. Bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV), it can be served neat, over a large cube, or in a simple mixed drink that benefits from aged tequila. The 750 mL bottle works equally well for casual sipping or mixing at home.
