Clase Azul Reposado Tequila
The highlands of Jalisco, Los Altos, give Blue Weber agave a sweeter, rounder character, and this reposado leans into it. Eight months in American whiskey casks soften the spirit without burying the agave underneath. Cooked agave still leads, warm and faintly earthy, with vanilla and caramel folded in close behind.
The texture is where this one earns its reputation: soft, almost creamy, with a gentle hazelnut note that sits in the back of the sip. Cinnamon and oak arrive late and keep the sweetness in check. At 80 proof (40% ABV), it drinks easily neat, though it holds up fine over a single large cube if you prefer it colder.
This is the bottle that gets poured when the evening deserves a little more attention than usual. The 750 mL decanter, hand-painted ceramic, tends to stay on the bar cart long after the tequila is gone.
