G.H. Mumm Grand Cordon Brut Champagne
Dry, fresh, rich and vibrant. This is a medium-bodied Brut Champagne with Pinot Noir power and a lively mousse. The nose shows peach, apricot and summer fruit, with hints of lychee and pineapple. The palate brings ripe fruit, vanilla, dried fruit and honey. Reserve wines and lees aging add depth and a toasty, pastry note. The acidity is bright, and the finish is long and powerful.
Grand Cordon is the signature cuvée of G.H. Mumm, founded in Reims in 1827. The blend is led by Pinot Noir at about 45%, with roughly 30% Chardonnay and 25% Meunier, sourced from more than 100 crus across Champagne. Reserve wines, some aged in oak vats, add complexity. Made in the traditional method, aged on its lees and finished with a light dosage, it is bottled at 12% ABV in a 750 mL bottle with the house’s red sash molded into the glass.
Serve well chilled as an aperitif or with oysters and shellfish.
