After 3 years in American white oak, Lobos 1707 Extra Añejo Tequila receives a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask finish. Made with Blue Weber agave in the Jalisco Highlands, it is bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV). The oak aging and finishing step provide a clear frame for its agave-led flavors.
Cooked agave and vanilla sit together on the palate, with dried fruit adding a darker sweetness. Cedar and baking spice shape a dry, gently seasoned finish. This is a straightforward Extra Añejo to pour neat, though a large cube can open it gradually. Serve it at room temperature to keep the balance between sweetness and spice easy to follow.
