Grapefruit comes through bright and clean, and behind it sits ripe peach with a softer apricot sweetness. Honeysuckle lifts the aroma, while a touch of brioche gives the wine some weight and keeps it from drinking purely as fruit. It is Chardonnay through and through, made by the traditional method in Burgundy.
At 12.5% ABV, this is sparkling wine you can pour early and keep pouring. The fruit is generous rather than austere, the finish gently sweet, and the bubbles fine enough to carry it all without turning heavy. It flatters a crowd more easily than a bone-dry Champagne does.
