Mumm Napa Brut Rosé Terroir
Dry, bright and fruit-forward. This is a light- to medium-bodied Brut sparkling rosé with a soft, creamy mousse. The nose shows strawberry and raspberry, with juicy orange and red apple. The palate brings strawberry and orange peel. Time on the lees adds toasted bread. The acidity is fresh and lively, and the finish is toasty and biscuity.
Mumm Napa was founded in the 1980s by the Champagne house G.H. Mumm, and its Terroir range is drawn from Napa Valley fruit, largely from the cooler southern end of the valley, where fog and breezes off San Pablo Bay preserve acidity. The blend is 76% Pinot Noir, 22% Chardonnay and 2% Pinot Meunier. It is made in the traditional method, aged an average of 24 months en tirage, and bottled at 12.5% ABV in a 750 mL bottle.
Drink now or within two to three years. Serve well chilled with sushi or grilled salmon.
