Serial Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon
Dry, bold and supple. This is a full-bodied Cabernet with ripe, generous fruit and smooth structure. The nose shows plum, blackberry and wild berries, with cedar, tobacco leaf and sweet herbs. The palate brings dark cherry, mulberry, mocha and licorice. The tannins are velvety, and black pepper and baking spice lead to a long finish.
Serial Wines was conceived in 2015 by vintner John Anthony Truchard and is made by executive winemaker Jeff Kandarian, who began his career in Paso Robles. Rather than relying on one estate, Serial sources from its own Deseo Vineyard and a small group of long-term grower partners across Paso Robles’ varied districts, capturing the breadth of the region. The Cabernet Sauvignon is aged in oak for depth and spice. It is bottled in a 750 mL bottle.
Enjoyable now, it benefits from 20 to 30 minutes of air. Pair with grilled steak, braised short ribs or barbecue.
