Cranberry and wild strawberry keep this Pinot Noir bright, while black tea and forest floor pull it savory. Dry and medium-bodied, with fine tannins, it has enough presence for a slightly cool glass. Bramble and herbal spice carry a refined finish.
Sonoma-Cutrer’s Russian River Valley Pinot Noir comes from estate vineyards including Owsley and Vine Hill, where fog-cooled nights build natural acidity and complexity. Grapes are hand-picked, cold-soaked and fermented with hand punch-downs, then aged about ten months in French oak (33% new). The wine is 100% Pinot Noir and is bottled at about 14.2% ABV in a 750 mL bottle.
Ready to drink now and rewarding over the next several years. Pair with duck, mushrooms or seared beef.
