This extra añejo tequila is distinguished by 7 years of maturation, pairing Blue Weber agave from Los Altos, Jalisco, with an extended period in oak. Six years in American white oak bourbon barrels are followed by one year in French oak. The move into French oak creates a separate final phase before bottling. Volans is additive free and comes in a 750 mL bottle.
Cooked agave remains the anchor of the palate, with caramel lending rounded richness rather than overt sweetness. Baking spice gives the profile a firmer edge, while polished oak stays present at the close. Bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV), it is well suited to a slow, neat pour.
