Buffalo Trace O.F.C. Vintage 2006 Bourbon Whiskey is one distillation year from Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, released in 2025 at 90 proof. O.F.C. is Old Fashioned Copper, Colonel E. H. Taylor Jr.’s 1870 name for this distillery, and this vintage keeps the line’s hand-cut crystal, copper lettering, wooden case, and provenance card. Nearly two decades in new charred oak is what the 2006 gives you: dried fruit and cooked sugar drawn up against leather and oak. It is a limited release.
Creamy vanilla, raisin, and other dark dried fruit open the glass, with worn leather beside the oak. Cooked sugar and a pastry-like sweetness come through, then tobacco. The finish is long and warm, folding oak and vanilla into butterscotch.
