El Tesoro 85th Anniversary Extra Añejo Tequila
El Tesoro’s 85th Anniversary Extra Añejo Tequila comes from Los Altos, Jalisco, and is made from Blue Weber agave. Cooked agave gives the palate a savory-sweet center, while cherry contributes dark fruit and vanilla a softer sweetness. Black pepper closes with dry spice, bringing a firm counterpoint to the rounder notes without overwhelming them.
Distilled in 2022, it aged for 3 years before receiving a Booker's 30th Anniversary bourbon barrel finish. The barrel finish followed the full aging period as a separate final stage before bottling this anniversary expression. The tequila is additive free and bottled at 85 proof (42.5% ABV). Its 750 mL anniversary bottle is available in limited quantities.
