Extra añejo tequila asks for patience, and this one spends five years in French oak that previously held Cognac. That vessel leaves its mark on texture more than anything else: the spirit is rounder and softer than most highland tequila, without losing the sweet, vegetal center that Blue Weber agave from Los Altos gives it.
Cooked agave is still the anchor here, clear and unmistakable, with tropical fruit lifting above it and butterscotch settling underneath. Fresh herbs cut through the sweetness before a quiet thread of smoke and oak carries the finish. At 80 proof it stays gentle, which makes it easy to sip slowly rather than sparingly.
