After 12–15 months in oak barrels, this one-year añejo tequila takes on a familiar, easygoing profile. Cooked agave remains clear at the center, with vanilla and caramel adding sweetness without obscuring the spirit’s Blue Weber agave character. Oak brings a drier counterpoint and keeps the finish grounded.
At 80 proof (40% ABV), Patrón Añejo has enough presence to sip on its own while remaining approachable. The 1.75 L size provides a generous option for a home bar or shared gatherings. Its balance of agave sweetness, gentle barrel influence, and warm spice works well served neat, over ice, or in tequila cocktails where an aged character is wanted. A touch of chocolate rounds out the closing notes alongside the spice.
