Rhum Barbancourt Estate Reserve is a Haitian rum aged for 15 years in French Limousin oak vats and barrels. The palate is led by dried fruit and baked pear, with caramel adding a rounded sweetness. Cinnamon brings gentle spice, while sandalwood gives the profile a dry, fragrant edge.
From Port-au-Prince, it is bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV) in a 750 mL size. Butterscotch broadens the richer side of the rum, and oak settles into the finish. It can be poured neat or over ice, keeping the fruit, sweetness, and spice clear from sip to sip. This strength also gives it room for a large cube while keeping its core flavors present.
